PriceTracker is a free, non-commercial, community-driven Progressive Web Application (PWA) that helps Nigerian consumers track and share product prices across local markets. The platform is operated as a non-profit project by Mark Peschke (private individual) with no advertising, no data monetisation, and no commercial purpose.
In compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023, Section 31 and the Child Rights Act 2003, you must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Anyone may browse PriceTracker as a guest without an account. Creating an account and submitting price reports requires registration and age confirmation.
You may delete your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Price reports you submitted may be anonymised and retained as part of the community database.
PriceTracker depends entirely on honest, accurate community contributions. By using the service, you agree to the following conduct standards.
By submitting price reports or other content to PriceTracker, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and use that content for the purpose of operating and improving the service. You retain full ownership of any original content you create.
Price data submitted by you becomes part of the community database and may be visible to all users, including in anonymised form after account deletion. You confirm that any content you submit does not infringe the rights of any third party.
The PriceTracker name, design, and software may not be copied, reproduced, modified, or distributed without our prior written permission, except as permitted by law.
Nigerian market prices are subject to rapid and significant fluctuation โ prices can change multiple times within a single day, vary considerably between stalls in the same market, and shift sharply in response to fuel costs, exchange rates, seasonal supply, and broader economic conditions. All prices shown are submitted by community members at a specific point in time and may not reflect current market reality by the time you view them.
In compliance with the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act (FCCPA) 2018, we commit to the following:
The collection and processing of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms. The Privacy Policy is fully compliant with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and the General Application and Implementation Directive (GAID) 2025.
By agreeing to these Terms, you also acknowledge and agree to the Privacy Policy. Key points:

If we decide to discontinue PriceTracker permanently, we will provide at least 30 days' advance notice to registered users by email where reasonably possible. During this period, you may download your personal data via your account settings before closure.
